“There is a visibility issue with the front windshield and rear window. The glass has imperfections (wavy) in it causing objects to look distorted especially at the outer edges. It is annoying and could possibly be dangerous since some objects aren't clear or give a false perception of depth. This was noticed a few weeks after purchasing.”
NHTSA complaint #10153708, filed 2006-03, 13 miles“The day after purchasing the vehicle, I brought it back to the dealer to complain about the trunk - which sometimes would not close properly - and the glass in the side windows and the rear window. The glass, in certain light conditions, displays many spots which are annoying and from my peripheral vision made me look to see if something was there - and I wanted to know if there was a remedy. The spots are distracting to vision while driving.”
NHTSA complaint #10122385, filed 2005-05“The contact owns a 2005 Pontiac GTO. The contact stated that while parked, he noticed that the front passenger's side window was not aligned properly, causing the door to be opened inadvertently. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000.”
NHTSA complaint #10513402, filed 2013-05, 150,000 miles“Windshield distortion. For approximately 4 inches all around the windshield perimeter, there is a distortion to the glass that impairs visibility. This distortion does not exist in any other area of the glass, just the perimeter areas.”
