“Peg and insert connection of convertible roof and trunk are rusting on interior. Appears to be caused by alloys in contact without provocation of moisture. I took the vehicle into the dealer (car is 2 months and garaged) and repair service could only clean rust off and lube. The following day the rust returned. The solution would have been to use a stainless steel snapping pin in the trunks receptacles where the peg comes down into contact. Gm currently has no recall and the dealer is putting the responsibility on GM and nor honoring my warranty. …”
NHTSA complaint #10221765, filed 2008-03“The contact owns a 2007 Pontiac Solstice. The contact stated that the vehicle does not have an interior unlock button for the power door locks. The contact must place the vehicle in park or push the door lock button manually in order to unlock the doors. The contact called the manufacturer and was told that this is how the vehicle was designed. The current and failure mileages were 820.”
