“I took this car in for a passenger bag recall. My niece drives the car and I was unaware that the airbag warning light was staying on, on the dashboard. My niece thought it was normal since it started after getting the car back from the dealer. I recently saw the problem and had an srs code reader pinpoint the problem to the passenger airbag which was worked on for the recall.”
NHTSA complaint #11138879, filed 2018-10, 125,000 miles“I received a recall notice for the august 2019 front passenger airbag assembly. I have called the dealer several times, my last call today 7/6/2020 and I am always told they do not have the parts to fix this safety defect. When I called GM's customer assistance center I was given the same answer. I believe that 11 months is an unreasonable amount of time to wait for a repair of a safety defect. Are you aware that GM is not fixing these problems?”
NHTSA complaint #11337792, filed 2020-07, 120,000 miles“I've been waiting almost a year for GM, toyota, and takata to come up with a fix to their airbag problem, NHTSA # 19v627. How much longer do we have to wait? Gm's thoughts? Recall status: incomplete. Remedy not yet available”
NHTSA complaint #11339439, filed 2020-07, 370,000 miles“I received a recall notice for my car and the dealer says they are unable to fix it. It has been months and months and it's honestly a serious safety issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11320664, filed 2020-04, 130,000 miles“Takata recall - this recall is now approximately 1.5 years from the time it was issued. Approximately 6 months ago (a full year after the recall was issued) I finally recieved a notice from Pontiac informing of this recall. In bold-underline text, it stated until the repari is performed, the front passenger seat should not be occupied . I have been patiently waiting and following this directive since I have received this letter, however it is a very significant inconvience to my family of four. …”
