2004: “I had pro-active repairs performed on my 2004 Porsche gt3 coolant system due to known issue of coolant pipes separating from the engine. I had the repair performed because I was afraid of losing control of my vehicle (it is my daily driver) or causing a crash behind me. The repairs cost me $3900 + ca state tax (7.75%) for a total of: $4200+.”
NHTSA complaint #10514295, filed 2013-05, 18,000 miles2007: “I am reporting the issue of coolant line fitting failure. I have not had a failure yet but that my mechanic has advised me that this issue must be addressed and repaired before there is a catastrophic failure. This is a known and expensive issue so rather than waiting for a failure, I was advised by a mechanic that it is going to fail and needs to be repaired immediately.”
