“I was unable to stop vehicle as I was approaching an intersection on a city street went to press on the brakes all the lights started flashing, brake system flashed, no traction light came on, vehicle turned off. Ended up impacting 3 other vehicles and a school bus. My airbags never deployed, and the vehicle was deemed a total loss by my insurance company. All parties were injured in the accident, almost all are seeking representation from attorneys for their injuries.”

NHTSA complaint #11258151, filed 2019-09, 1,844 miles

“After turning from the highway feeder onto a small road, I knew a large bump in the road was coming up. Everyone who travels the road knows about it and how you need to slow down. After I made made the turn, I applied my brake in anticipation of the bump, however nothing happened. There wasn't any pressure. I tried one more time and it was the same result. I then tried to consecutively pump the brakes, but there was no change. At that point I was approaching the cement mixer in front of me. I was so close that I knew impact was inevitable. …”

NHTSA complaint #11217268, filed 2019-06, 36,000 miles

“My ABS and anti swerve systems have gone bad are not operational. There has been a class action lawsuit against the manufacturer for the 2500 & 3500. My local dealer in Melbourne Fl has said the module has been on back order for some time now! No clue if anything can be done but I don't feel safe driving in the rain, which it does most days here.”

NHTSA complaint #11664404, filed 2025-06

“Failure of ABS control module with loss of traction control. After researching this issue shortly after having the ABS control module fail on my vehicle I found numerous posts about a faulty ABS module and hydraulic control module ending in part AA. This appears to be a widespread issue with the Ram 1500 pickups warranting a recall.”
