“The contact owns a 2021 Ram 1500 equipped with a Hensley Pro Pride trailer hitch. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and hauling a 40-ft RV, he made a right turn and the trailer hitch inadvertently detached and veered off to the left and the vehicle veered to the right. The contact stated that upon inspection, he noticed that the weld had failed and caused the detachment. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no further assistance was provided. …”
