Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Was recalled for a electric power steering assist. Not even two months later the power steering system has completely failed. I cant even go a quarter mile down the road.it will drive a little down the road and power steering will flash on the dash and turns are almost impossible. I have to shut the vehicle off and turn it back on. This is very dangerous especially if there isn't a place to pull over without making a turn. …”

NHTSA complaint #10676827, filed 2015-01, 144,043 miles

“My wife was driving to work on the highway. All of the sudden the check engine light came on. The car reduced engine power. A message came up on the display saying to service the traction control. I took the vehicle to a GM dealer. They said it was the throttle body position sensor. The exact same incident happened to an acquaintance the week before in her 2012 chevy malibu with the dealer determining the cause to also be the throttle body position sensor. …”

NHTSA complaint #10693046, filed 2015-03, 75,000 miles

“While driving on the overpass/highway, car jumps/skips to the side (opposite of turning direction). Steering shaft has been replaced and didn't solve this issue. We have had front end basically re-done also. Losing power steering fluid; power steering whines and is very stiff. I am convinced that this vehicle should be on the recall list!!! Very disappointed in the amount of money we have had to sink into this car. We've been dealing with a continuum of repeated problems for 3 plus years!”

NHTSA complaint #10938907, filed 2016-12, 125,000 miles

“Regardless of how fast I am driving, whether 35 MPH or 60 MPH, my brake lights operate in a reverse manner. As I apply my brakes, the brake lights turn off. On the other hand, when I release my brakes, the brakes lights comes on. This causes a distraction and a danger to me and the traffic behind me. The issue occurs often and sporadically. I have noticed a pattern; when this issue occurs my service ESC light comes on and my traction turns off.”

NHTSA complaint #10499821, filed 2013-02, 70,280 miles

“The steering has gotten very hard to steer at slow speeds. It takes effort to turn it and once turning, it will not return straight but you have to forcefully turn the steering wheel back to go straight instead of it wanting to go straight . It is not the power steering which is working fine.a machanic told me that this is an issue for many GM cars and to check. Sure enough there are many models of my car that have this issue and have been recalled. I have luckily avoided any accidents so far but the problem seems to be getting worse.”
