“Driver seat welded bracket is broken. Seat is not stable and in the event of a crash, I am certain that there will be injury. I weigh only 160lbs and while driving heard the snap of the bracket.”

NHTSA complaint #10865299, filed 2016-05, 79,000 miles

“Driver seat abruptly fell down to the right side while driving. Inspection of driver seat revealed that the right side of the seat frame broke off. This caused the seat to immediately incline to right side.”

NHTSA complaint #10577375, filed 2014-04, 67,000 miles

“The back right weld on my drivers seat broke. I was driving one day and heard a loud pop and it sounded like my seat skipped groves in movement, but my seat is power. The back right weld snapped and I feel this is a manufacture problem. I weigh 206 lbs so it's not an issue of being too heavy and recent posts say it can cost up to 1000$ to fix. I find this should be a recall.”

NHTSA complaint #10789157, filed 2015-11

“The right low beam light went out, tried to replace it and found out that this is impossible to replace by the owner. It requires removing the front bumper and special tools over $300 at the dealer to replace a headlamp. Meanwhile one light. Having headlights is a safety issue! Also the driver side seat frame broke under normal use and can no longer be adjusted”

NHTSA complaint #10853315, filed 2016-04

“The contact owns a 2009 Saturn AURA. The contact stated that while driving at low speeds making a turn, the brakes malfunctioned making the vehicle very difficult to stop. The contact indicated that the failure would only occur while pressing the brakes and turning the steering wheel at the same time. In addition, the driver's side seat bracket had failed causing the seat to move while operating the vehicle. The seat bracket was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 50,000.”
