“I had cleared my windows of snow and turned on my rear defrost when I heard a loud pop and discovered my rear window had imploded.. I was parked in my driveway”

NHTSA complaint #11395201, filed 2021-02, 156,000 miles

“The sun visor on driver's side will no longer stay in the up position. It is loose and just hangs down and it blocks my vision. The first time I became aware of this I was driving and the visor fell down blocking my vision for a few minutes. It startled me and caused me to swerve off the road. Now the visor just hangs down all the time and blocks my vision. Gm has no recall on this item right now but I feel they should correct this at no cost to customers. I only have about 26000 miles on my car so this certainly should not have happened at such an early date. …”

NHTSA complaint #10576872, filed 2014-04, 26,000 miles

“In february/march of 2006 I started experiencing issues with the sunroof. The switch operating the sunroof was not working properly. I made an appointment for service and had this checked on 03/17/2006. The problem was confirmed and a replacement part was ordered.”

NHTSA complaint #10166299, filed 2006-08, 5,100 miles

“Purchased vehicle new as a demo, told there was 'minor panel damage but fixed like new found out car was in chain reaction crash both front and rear. Body and frame still not fixed, keeps cracking windshields now ignition system has failed. Read many other problems with same issue from year 2000 and up on the car. Needs to be a recall or someone needs to pay for this junk car besides me. Starter would stick in after starting car, took it to the dealership 3 times but they could not reproduce the situation, therefore would not repair. Now look where I'm at.”

NHTSA complaint #10252989, filed 2008-12, 52,000 miles

“Key cannot be removed from ignition after car is turned off. Have returned to the dealership 4 times for this problem. Each time they lubricate the system but it does not fix the problem. It began less than 6 months after we purchased the vehicle and still persists today. We cannot take any more time off from work to take it into the shop to be told they will not replace the ignition system or the transmission/gear shift mechanism that may be the actual problem. …”
