“I have a 2009 Saturn Outlook and the front passenger headlight has gone out for the 2nd time and the vehicle has only 29900 miles on it. It was last replace when the vehicle had only 22000 miles on it. I know that multiple people have had this problem, it should be a recall due to all the issues. They say the wire harness is bad, but something is causing it to heat up too much.”

NHTSA complaint #10405530, filed 2011-06, 29,900 miles

“Replace drivers side headlamp november 6, 2011 it has burned out again with only 1800 more miles than first incident. So by december 16, 2011 it has burned out again. My previous vehicles I have put close to 200k miles on and never replaced one headlight, now I have 2. There is a problem with this vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #10441044, filed 2011-12, 36,000 miles

“The headlights on my 2009 Saturn Outlook stopped working. Per the GM dealer they claimed that there is a known defect with the lighting on these vehicles. Considering these are safety items I'm not really sure why there isn't already a recall on this.”

NHTSA complaint #10668092, filed 2014-12, 53,000 miles

“My driver side headlight has burnt out three times. I've had the bulb replaced twice and now am told that the wire harness is burnt and melted, causing the shorts/burnt bulbs. Labor to replace this is excessive, due to the poor access to the headlight compartment.”

NHTSA complaint #10533822, filed 2013-08, 56,000 miles

“I have a 2009 Saturn Outlook and the passenger side head light went out in march of 2011 (there was no message in the car to indicate this either). I took it to the local GM dealership and had the light bulb replaced. Which cost over $40 (because of the difficulty with having to remove the tire just to replace the bulb). To my unpleasant surprise the passenger side head light is out again after only 3 months.”
