“My transmission began slipping on my Saturn VUE at 76000. I took it into the dealership they said nothing was wrong. 6 days later I hit the gas it went to the floor and my car did not move, ut my RPM went up to 5000 +. Saturn replace my transmission at half the cost. Now 9000 miles later my transmission has begun to slip again. Saturn said nothing was wrong a second time (4/3/09).”

“I recently had my 2004 Saturn awd VUE serviced at Saturn of livingston, nj, and had two recalls performed. One was for the voluntary recall of a rear suspension link which was changed due to a NHTSA test failure. The other was the recall of the rear drive module (rdm), which was causing a moaning noise in all awd versions of this vehicle. After the rdm was changed I immediately noticed a change in the vehicles awd function characteristics. …”

NHTSA complaint #10104424, filed 2004-12, 17,000 miles

“I was stopped at a stop sign behind another vehicle in my 2004 Saturn VUE when a suburban rear-ended me at approximately 40+ miles per hour. I then hit the SUV that was stopped in front of me - and we both went approximately 100 feet forward from the stop sign. The impact totaled my truck to the point of the rear was crushed to the back seat and the front frame was broken in half with about a 1 inch gap. My issues with the safety are: the drivers side seat broke nearly all the way back into the rear seat to the right with the seat sliding back and forth. …”

NHTSA complaint #10143854, filed 2005-11, 45,000 miles

“I am often finding my Saturn SUV hydroplaning in the rain....not only my VUE but my step brother's VUE was totalled when he hydroplaned into a semi on the highway. An associate of his also totalled his VUE by hydroplaning....I am concerned about this problem since I have too have had instances of hydroplaning. My VUE is the main transporation of my children and I do not feal secure or safe driving them when the pavement is wet or it is raining.”
