“The design and manufacture of the part # 92161-10g00-y06, lid, maint, gray, is such that the part is of in adequate thickness and has inadequate fastener tension. If the thin tab at the right edge is broken then the lid for the fuse area will fly off the bike at 50-55 miles per hour. It did and struck me in the shoulder as it passed by. There is the definite possibility of it striking the passenger or driver in the face if wind conditions are right. This is unsatisfactory on a number of levels and should be examined by the design team. …”
