2017 Tesla Model X Technical Service Bulletins
117 technical service bulletins (TSBs) are on record for the 2017 Tesla Model X. TSBs are notes manufacturers send to dealers about repair procedures for issues seen in the field. They are not recalls and do not by themselves mean a vehicle has a fault.
- 10145809Sep 13, 2018Electrical system. On some Model X vehicles, incorrect routing of the intrusion sensor wires might result in electrical interference between the intrusion sensor and the intrusion sensor electrical control unit (ECU). The electrical interference causes the car alarm to activate, even if the vehicle is not being intruded.
- 10143588Jul 13, 2018Other or unknown. Some customers have a due bill for an Accessories Hitch. The Accessories Hitch has been discontinued. In place of the Accessories Hitch, these customers are to receive the Hitch Package, which can be used to attach hitch accessories. These customers also have the option to upgrade to the Full Tow Package at a special price.
- 10143587Jul 9, 2018Forward collision avoidance, Equipment. On some Model S and Model X vehicles with 2nd generation Autopilot, the forward facing camera pitch (vertical angle) might not conform to internal specifications.
- 10143586Jul 9, 2018Equipment, Seats. On some Model S and Model X 1st row seats, the Huck BOM fastener and pivot bushing used on the front lift links may develop an interactive clearance condition, which might result in a rocking motion in the seat. This does not affect performance, but may result in customer dissatisfaction.
- 10142866Apr 24, 2018Electrical system. On some Model X vehicles, a plug on the 12V battery was not installed at the factory, or a Service Center installed a replacement 12V battery that lacks the plug.
- 10142867Apr 18, 2018Equipment. Certain 2nd generation Universal Mobile Connectors (UMCs) supplied to Tesla vehicles were not screened and might not indicate their status or charge the vehicle.
- 10142988Feb 9, 2018Electrical system. On some Model S and Model X vehicles with charge port part number 1026041-00-M or 1026041-00-N, the charge port insertion guide might prevent the charge port latch from fully engaging. If the charge port latch is not fully engaged, the charge port light is amber or orange, and maximum AC charge current is not allowed. Using a Supercharger is not allowed if the charge port latch is not fully engaged.
- 10142969Sep 13, 2017Air bags. Under certain conditions, the right hand drive Model X passenger front airbag might not inflate.
