“UNKNOWN I was driving on an expressway around 2:00 AM June 22nd using my cars adaptive cruise control. There was light rain and my car kept a safe distance from the car in front of me that was going slower than the speed I had set my cruise control to. Suddenly my car accelerated as if the car in front of me was no longer there. I had to quickly apply the brakes to avoid a collision. I have around 8,000 miles on my car and I had no problems the last time I went on a trip using the adaptive cruise control.”

I was stunned and did not realize it was a vehicle error, at first. I have owned the vehicle 6 months and have had difficulty understanding the technical aspects of it. I searched online and found the recall, but have not been officially notified yet. I had a similar incident the first month i owned it. I turned left into a parking spot, the car did not stop until hitting bushes in front of me. …”
