“Rear passenger side seatbelt jams frequently. Issue started ~3yrs into ownership but since using latch car seats for my kids in that seat didn't need to use or would use other seats if unable to release the seatbelt. I took into dealership to look at 5yr / 80,000 mark (nov 2018) and they tugged and were able to get functional, but problem quickly came back. Now at 7yr/100,000 mark, belt is completely non-functional and requiring a $400 replace cost (outside of any warranty per dealership and Toyota corporate so no further action taken). …”

While driving at approximately 60 MPH, the brakes activated independently and caused the vehicle to rapidly decelerate. In addition, the seat belt tightened without being used. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the failure was undetermined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 62,000....updated 04/11/16”
