“Issue started after 2 years, when wet and cold as I back up and put my foot on the brake pedal, a very loud noise heard coming from the back? It lasts as long as I put my foot on the pedal. Expressed my concerns at peterson Toyota dealer locally, but the technician stated that it's normal , could be the brake hydraulic booster system? The issues still continue as of today. I do record the noise when it happens”
NHTSA complaint #11319325, filed 2020-03, 25,000 miles“Very loud , rough, almost pulsating engine noise at low speed (about 20 miles or less), after the car being driven for about 20-30 minutes, the weather was about 35-40 degrees outside in the morning. Rough engine running lasts for about 1 minutes, it happed 4 times in jan/20 and feb/20. I brought the car to the local Toyota dealer to let them know about the issue, dealer refused to scan for a diagnostic test, unless I paid $189 fee.”
NHTSA complaint #11319328, filed 2020-03, 78,000 miles“The radio/navigation/telephone system on the Toyota Prius V 2015 started freezing a few weeks after I purchased the vehicle. The GPS, radio, telephone etc. Are all controlled by a central touch screen panel on the dashboard of the vehicle. The GPS becomes un-responsive to touch and can suddenly no longer be used! This has happened repeatedly but randomly on my vehicle, and many owners are seeing the same issue on their Prius V 2015 too. After a few miles of driving, the screen becomes unresponsive, and remains un-responsive until the car is turned off and started again, especially on hot days. …”
NHTSA complaint #10747462, filed 2015-08, 264 miles“Brakes failing while driving in the rain. I was unable to use my brakes in the rain and headlights turned off while driving too. Took it to the dealer and they won't do anything unless lights are on on dashboard to read the code.”
