“We have had 3 interior door handles malfunction within 12,000 miles. This poses a serious risk if the vehicle was in an accident where there was a fire and the interior door handle malfunctioned. Toyota has yet to publish a recall, but it is widely documented online and our dealer service advisor has mentioned this is a serious problem they have seen on other models as well. The three handles have broken on three different occasions: Front driver(2/13/2026), rear driver-side (8/14/2026), and most recently front passenger side (9/13/2026)”
NHTSA complaint #11764199, filed 2026-09“The panoramic moonroof on the 2025 Toyota Sequoia spontaneously shattered while the vehicle was stationary. Nothing hit the moonroof. Was told by the dealership that it was caused by a pressure imbalance and although this is a know issue Toyota will not cover it as corporate doesn't see it as a issue. Was lucky the screen as deployed as it caught the glass from hitting the driver.”
