Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“I was pulling out onto a main road, pressed the accelerator and not much happened. The car accelerated to maybe 5 mph and no faster. Took my foot off the accelerator and pushed it to the floor. No response. It was like the vehicle only ran on EV mode and did not turn the engine on. In a second or more returned to normal and could not reproduce what happened. On coming traffic had to break. There was enough room to pull out under normal situations.”

NHTSA complaint #11730399, filed 2026-04
