“The contact owns a 2024 Triumph Scrambler 400 X. The contact stated that while riding approximately 40 MPH, the motorcycle stalled. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure occurred three times. The motorcycle was taken to the dealer. The dealer had not yet completed the diagnostic test. The motorcycle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.”
NHTSA complaint #11608674, filed 2024-08, 1,000 miles“On multiple occasions while slowing down, or coming off the line, with the clutch fully disengaged, the motorcycle has stalled. The RPMs drop to zero and it cuts out. Usually you can hear the engine sputter a bit before it cuts. I've tried adjusting the clutch free play and it's made no difference.”
