Brakes: “Leaf spring broke. On highway traveling and noticed wheels no right on trailer . Stopped and tires on double axle were touching. Underneath saw leaf spring broke . Weight of trailer is over the 7000 lb springs on suspension . Lippert mfg will send repair out to replace. Road repair told us he has replaced several of same recently due to the spring is too short . Lucky we didn't flip and injuries sustained.”

NHTSA complaint #11206230, filed 2019-05, 200 milesBody and structure: “The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-450 equipped with a 2017 Vanleigh RV. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 50 MPH, and going over train tracks she observed abnormal shaking. The contact stated that a friend following the RV observed both right wheels smoking. The vehicle was steered to the side of the road and a mobile RV tech diagnosed the RV with frame damage and broken spring. The RV was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the frame was bent and was totaled. The dealer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.”
