2013 Victory Cross Country Electrical system Problems

“As I was conducting a pre-ride check, I turned the engine on, and within a few seconds, it shut off by itself. This repeated a couple of more times, and then the engine would not start. After another couple of attempts, even the lights and all the electrical components shut off with no response. The bike had completely died. I had it towed to the southern california motorcycle Victory dealer, and they diagnosed that the starter solenoid had melted, and the circuit breaker had blown out. …”

“Bike is prone to stalling either from downshifting or opening the throttle such as starting out from a stop or low RPM shift. I've put about 200 miles on this bike and noticed the bike has stalled more than 10 times while pulling from a stop, merging into traffic, or making a turn. The sudden loss of power changes the center of gravity and balance on the bike and in one case I had to quickly brace the bike while bringing the bike under control. The end effect was the bike crushed my foot under the exhaust as the bike was in a lean while turning. …”

“The turn-signal cancellation is erratic or inconsistent. Sometimes it only flashes 5 times, sometimes will flash 20 times while moving. There is no way to disable it.”
