2023: “Got my car back from service a couple months ago and it is still performing with errors. While driving in a specific lane on the freeway the car would try to pull my steering wheel to the other lane. VinFast stated an update is all is needed and the problem still is occurring. This car is dangerous. One example of this is the Pleasanton California incident.”

NHTSA complaint #11622428, filed 2024-10

2024: “While driving and starting to do a turn if you get to close to the line the car will jerk the steering wheel in the direction you are turning and there has been a multiple times it's almost put my car into a concrete wall. It has also jerk the wheel hard enough that its caused me to go out of my lane and almost crash into other cars on turns. I would say it has happen at least 30 times since taking ownership November 11, 2024”

NHTSA complaint #11647254, filed 2025-03

2025: “Car suddenly went into limp mode and airbag failure warning, collision warning, and seatbelt warnings went off. Car slowed to 1 mph on a busy highway almost instantly. We could have been hit from behind and had to struggle to get the car to the shoulder from the center lane. Warnings appeared seconds before the limp mode activation. We had the car towed to Vinfast Orlando, and after a 10 day repair they had the airbag replaced, and the seatbelt sensor replaced. …”
