“After numerous repair attempts, the hard-top convertible continues to leak. This has resulted in pooling of water on the floor boards whenever it rains. The only place the car leaks is at the point where the hard-top meets the body of the car. There have also been multiple issues where the trunk does not latch properly when the top is closed. Although the car is able to be driven, the trunk is unable to open unless the hard-top is down or retracted into the trunk.”

“I have twin daughters that were 17 yrs. Last yr. I am a single mom. I bought this car off a craigslist ad. When my daughter & I went & looked at it I looked to see if it had ever been wrecked it had no report of that. The person that sold it to me said the convertible didn't go down because he didn't have the key, I had no idea that it had 33 complaints filed on it, and it would be leaking water filling the floor boards 2-3 every time it stormed. …”

“My daughter was driving on the freeway to work around 5am when her sunroof burst onto thousands of pieces. She stated it sound like a massive explosion and scared her causing her to swerve her car. Thank God it was early in the morning, on a weekend, and with minimal traffic on the road. She was able to pull over safely, and call me. We have now been dealing with the insurance company that tells us the glass is covered, but safelite tells us they are unable to repair it. The volkswagen dealership told us their are 2 windows in the US inventory, but not able too locate them. …”

NHTSA complaint #11617711, filed 2024-10

“I bought a brand new Volkswagen EOS 2007 on december 26, 2006 from atlantic Volkswagen in pleasantville, new jersey. On may 25, 2006, I was sitting at a corner waiting to turn left. A large ice truck came around the corner too fast and tipped on two wheels and fell onto my vehicle while I was inside. The ice truck's insurance company sent an adjuster out to assess the damages. The insurance company decided to have the damages fixed instead of totaling the vehicle on the spot. Since then, the vehicle has been in the auto repair shop and it is now october 15, 2007. …”
