Volvo V60 Problems by Model Year

2016: “As we were driving on I-95 near summerville sc on jan 5th in the early afternoon (approx. Speed 70 MPH) the sunroof suddenly imploded sounding like a gunshot going off. There was no projectile heard or seen prior to the sudden shattering. Thankfully, the internal cover prevented the majority of glass from entering the passenger compartment. Because we didn't hear or see a projectile, the only conclusion we came to was that the temperature differential may have LED to the sudden crack (this trip took place during the bomb cyclone in the south). …”

2015: “I am a single mom with an autistic son, and two other children. I used to work for mitchell Volvo in simsbury, ct and just purchased my 2015.5 Volvo V60 in december and only have 10k miles on it. I drive, literally, three miles per day, except for my first incident: in early july 2016, I drove to rochester, ny for a funeral for my uncle. Upon pulling out into rt 495, I hit the gas, and nothing. I had my autistic son and 87 year old father in the car, I panicked as cars were coming, and car wasn't moving, I slammed on the gas, and the car banged into gear and went. …”

2020: “When temperatures are below 60 degrees I receive a brake light malfunction notice and when looking at the brake lights the 3rd chsml seems to be dimmer then normal. Only happens at lower temperatures. This happens when first started.”
