Example complaints

2019: “My car has less than three thousand miles on it and was purchased in late may 2019. I was at a stop light when suddenly, I heard a loud buzz and the car stopped and started completely on its own. It happened again at the next traffic light, only this time, it kept shutting off and restarting. The dealer's service department doesn't seem to believe me, and the manufacturer has denied my request for repurchase, despite the serious safety risk this presents.”

NHTSA complaint #11252790, filed 2019-09, 2,700 miles

2021: “Rear passenger pirelli tire 245/45 r20 103h blowout. Entire tire gone. Damage to rim, brake hose, wheel well, bumper, paint on car, excessive damage to car. Traveling on highway, took exit.”

NHTSA complaint #11416362, filed 2021-05, 4,900 miles

2020: “Issue1: a few weeks ago while my wife had stopped at a traffic light and without any provocation, her seatbelt went into crash mode, tightening significantly and locking. This was to the point that she felt being suffocated from pressure on her abdomen and chest. Fortunately, the car was not in motion, otherwise, the seatbelt tightening and lock could lead to an accident. The lock released after 30 seconds and she could open the seat belt. She had chest pain for a few days after this incident. …”
