2024 Volvo XC60 Forward collision avoidance Problems

“Automatic braking failure: Another vehicle slammed into my vehicle as I was moving at a slow pace. That other vehicle pushed the front of my vehicle into a dumpster in a parking lot. The automatic braking should have engaged and stopped the car so it wouldn't have crashed into the dumpster. It is unlikely the vehicle is available for inspection as it was towed to a salvage yard. My safety and that of others was put at risk. The problem could not be reproduced - the vehicle was severely damaged and undrivable. The manufacturer (Volvo) refused to inspect it. …”

“Collision avoidance system has activated nearly causing a collision with an oncoming vehicle three times. On narrow rural roads it is often necessary to steer quickly to the right when an oncoming vehicle approaches out of its lane. The car activates lane-keeping and steers to left toward approaching vehicle. If there is a bush or tall grass near roadway it also suddenly brakes as well as steers into traffic. This action nearly caused a collision today. Sensors are clean, windows clean, and no bright sunlight. All drivers aids are turned off. …”
