“I purchased a new Volvo XC60 Ultra on 4/17/2026. During the drive home from the dealership, I noticed the right rear passenger window haziness impairing my visibility when checking for blind spots. Initially, I thought the window needs to be cleaned, however all cleaning attempts did not improve the glass transparency; the haziness persisted. I notified the Volvo dealership the next day and I was asked to bring the car back for detailing. …”
NHTSA complaint #11732302, filed 2026-04“I have requested an appointment with my local Volvo dealership to investigate this problem with delamination of the windshield and All side/rear windows. The glass has developed a pervasive milky, cloudy, and fractured appearance. When driving in the direct sunlight or at night with oncoming headlights, the vision for the driver is distorted and causes a significant safety hazard. The vehicle is currently in pristine condition with fewer than 2000 miles when the problem was first identified. …”
NHTSA complaint #11735416, filed 2026-05“I purchased the above vehicle new on October 31, 2025. It has had a defect in its infotainment and center display system from the moment of delivery. The system failed while the dealer’s technician was demonstrating it to me on delivery day, and the vehicle went back into the shop before I could take it home. The defect has never been corrected. The system reboots itself regularly. Audio fails completely, including turn signal sounds. Settings change on their own when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. …”
NHTSA complaint #11771375, filed 2026-10“Brand new 2026 Volvo XC60 Plus with factory tinting of rear passenger, side & hatch windows. Vehicle purchased from Serra Volvo in Traverse City Michigan. I discovered an issue with the rear passenger windows. Unlike the smaller rear side & hatch windows, rear passenger windows are cloudy even after a thorough cleaning.”
NHTSA complaint #11735476, filed 2026-05“The passenger side windows on both the driver and passenger side are foggy due to a defect in the window tint and lamination process. These hazy and foggy window are a safety concern when looking over your shoulder when changing lanes as the view through the glass is not clear.”
