NHTSA complaint #973987, filed 1995-10

Transmission and drivetrain: “This moterhome is the same confuragition as NHTSA id #99v013000 recall bounder moterhome mfg. By bounder. The fact that the 3 failures of the differantal did not cause serious damage should not excuse the mfg. From replacing the rear axle with one of proper weight capacity. The rear axle in my Winnebago is rated at 11,000 lbs by the mfg.(dana corp.) which is the same capacity as the rear axle in the recalled bounder . Time should not relieve the mfg. Of his responsibility to correct a dangerous product.”
