“The contact owns a 2003 Workhorse W22. The contact stated that approximately two years ago while traveling in warm weather with a half of tank of gas or less, at various speeds the vehicle would stall. The manufacturer was contacted and they stated they were aware of the failure, however there was no recall. The manufacturer stated they have a remedy for the failure, which was to relocate the fuel canister to the outside the canister. The cost of the repairs would be approximately $2,000.00, at the contact's expense. …”
NHTSA complaint #10340773, filed 2010-06, 18,000 miles“2003 newmar mountain aire motorhome on a 2003 Workhorse W22 chassis. Consumer writes in regards to Workhorse brake system recall the consumer stated in may of 2009, he received an interim notice warning about a possible problem with the Workhorse system. The noticed stated there was a possibility of the brakes sticking, burning and the ABS light illuminating. It further stated that if the symptoms should appear, that the driver should pull over and examine the wheels for excessive heat and contact a Workhorse service center. …”
