Example complaints

Fuel system: “I noticed within the first couple of weeks a difference in driving vehicle .. When I first purchased the vehicle I was given a NHTSA printout for any passed reports if therebwas any and there was nothing disclosed in the report . After experiencing issues with the vehicle . I ran another recall report and was able to see the 38 plus recalls that have been discovered since. I have scheduled a service appointment at the dealership tomorrow . I noticed very soon after purchasing vehicle and as of the last couple days .. I did take it to a couple of mechanic shops covered the car max warranty.”

NHTSA complaint #11416049, filed 2021-05, 9,600 miles

Brakes: “What happens is the brake pedal sinks while the vehicle is in motion. It happens while going forward and in reverse. Slow speeds or highway speeds. When this happens I have no control of the vehicle and cannot stop. I have addressed the issue on multiple occasions to paragon Acura in queens ny and they have done nothing to remedy the issue. They provided a statement to me in august saying that the power braking system is affected by the air conditioning being on as that disrupts the engine vaccum. So I asked so then there's a recall correct and was given a shoulder shrug. …”

NHTSA complaint #11362434, filed 2020-10, 16,151 miles

Engine: “The contact owns a 2019 Acura ILX. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the vehicle decelerated and stalled. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road and had the vehicle towed to the residence. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 107,000.”

NHTSA complaint #11657139, filed 2025-04, 107,000 miles

Forward collision avoidance: “This his happened 3 times now. I have been driving on the highway with no cars in front of me in my lane within a quarter mile, and the braking since starts flashing a warning and starts to hard break, it is not only startling but very dangerous. This happened the 3rd time in a year. I usually try to disable it to prevent these issues but it auto turns itself back on every time i start the car so i sometimes forget to turn it off. It is not only startling but has caused sligh injury to myself because of the sudden breaking”
