“I was driving in the left lane of a divided highway, using the adaptive cruise control while passing another vehicle in the right lane. The collision warning light came on, and the brakes were automatically applied. The road was straight, and the car I was passing was the only car ahead of me. I believe I was almost hit by the car tailgating me at the time.”

The contact dried both the passenger-side front and rear doors, the trunk and the driver-side rear door. While drying the driver-side front door, the vehicle suddenly moved unintendedly about 15 ft. The contact grabbed the door frame and was eventually able to bring the vehicle to a stop, preventing a crash or injury. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. …”
