“Vehicle Make/Model/Year: 2019 Acura MDX Component Affected: Forward Collision Avoidance / Lane Departure / ADAS (Front Camera System) Summary of Issue: I am filing this complaint regarding a recurring and dangerous issue involving the front windshield-mounted camera on our 2019 Acura MDX. …”

NHTSA complaint #11665121, filed 2025-06

“Forward Collision Mitigation braking randomly activates and slams on the brakes despite no cars/obstacles/items in front of it. I have luckily not been rear-ended, but I've had several close calls when driving in traffic (car noses dipping behind me). The dealership has so far been unable to replicate this issue and stated that unless they can replicate there is nothing they can/will do to fix the issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11582103, filed 2024-04

“When I was at 41,528 miles, May 18, the LKAS, ACC & RDMS errors all turned on at the same time. So those systems just stopped working randomly. When I restarted the car, all errors turned off but it turned on again after 10 days, May 28 with 91,966 miles. I brought it to the Acura dealership and they couldn't replicate it. I think this is an issue because one of the highlights of this car is safety but at random times, those safety systems suddenly stops working and the dealership couldn't do anything about it.”

NHTSA complaint #11741836, filed 2026-06

“My car was purchased with 12,000 miles and supposedly worn tires. Because of that, I went to the dealership to get new tires and an alignment since the car was always pulling to the right. My car has been at the dealership four times for the same problem, and they still haven't fixed it. My car continues to constantly pull to the right, and when I use the cruise control, it stays above the other cars to the right, causing it to suddenly pull to the left, deactivating the speed control and losing control. The dealership's recommendation is to stop using the speed control.”

NHTSA complaint #11521295, filed 2023-05

“Problems may occur intermittently, including during engine startup and while driving, with warning messages appearing on the dashboard: Auto High-Beam Problem, Road departure mitigation sysem problem,, Collsion mitigation system problem, Lane keeping assist problem and Adaptive cruise control problem. All of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems can't be used.”
