“Shattered back windshield is common but not recalled. Also another issue I am having is a Jammed seatbelt. Acura currently told me my windshield is not covered because it’s a Canadian car. Wondering if my seatbelt issue will be resolved or not too because it’s also a Canadian car..”
NHTSA complaint #11721557, filed 2026-03“The airbag is turned off warning light for the front passenger seat is lit (on) while an adult is sitting in the front passenger with the seat belt latched. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE.. I have reported this to the Acura dealer where I purchased the vehicle and they said since they are unable to repeat the issue they can't do anything about it. In addition, when this issue is occurring the warning light on the dash and the audible bell regarding the seat belt being unlatched while the vehicle is in motion does not come on.”
NHTSA complaint #11566424, filed 2024-01“Rear seatbelts are not safe for children. There is a large gap between the seatbelt and the child (5 year old and 9 year old). For the 9 year old the seatbelt crosses his face. It is anchored too high and too far forward from the seat,. The seatbelt cannot be adjusted and the seatback cannot be adjusted. The Acura manual shows a picture of a gap and stated this is not safe (in an example when you have adjustable seats - to not adjust where it creates a big gap). …”
