“The back seat of the vehicle is loose and rocks up to an inch or more. We took the car into the dealership to fix the problem and were told that this was standard on the 2019 accura RDX. Seats this loose do not seem safe to me. We have an infant in a car seat in the back seat of the car. Her car seat is supposed to move less than one inch when properly installed. With the back seat as loose as it is, there is no way for me to insure her safety in this car. The seat is loose all the time- regardless of when the car is in motion- as long as someone or something is supplying enough force. …”
NHTSA complaint #11311909, filed 2020-02, 25,000 miles“Purchased used 2019 RDX from Acura dealer in June 2025. Within the first 30 days of owning the RDX we noticed the Airbag Sensor for the front passenger seat would not recognize my 90 lb daughter seating in the seat and the air bag sensor would indicate the seat was empty, which would result in the airbag not deploying if we were in an accident. I took video of this happening and took my RDX into dealership for repair as we were still within the 30 day period for issues. The Acura dealership insisted they could not replicate the problem so it was fine. …”
