“Vehicle was issued with the incorrect tire pressure information on the vehicle information sticker. It was recalled by Alfa Romeo as the sticker read the required tire pressure was 35PSI. The new sticker reflects an updated tire pressure of 39 PSI for the rear tires. The low tire pressure caused the rear tires to wear our prematurely and they are now in need of replacement.”
NHTSA complaint #11613531, filed 2024-09“Alfa Romeo issued a recall for the tire information sticker as it inaccurately reflected the correct tire pressure for the rear tires. The tire pressure listed on the original sticker listed the correct tire pressure lower than required. The low tire pressure resulted in the rear tires failing prematurely and several thousand miles before the front tires. Even though the tires were low, the TPMS did not indicate that the tire pressure was lower than required.”
