“I'm concerned about the engine connecting rod recall. I'm not too faithful of a dealer replacing the engine if that's what needed. If it is and we have problems, I will want a new q5.”

NHTSA complaint #11499778, filed 2023-01

“There is an open recall (action number 13i5) for this vehicle, and I've scheduled the appointment with the dealership in Morton Grove, Chicago. But they said they don't how much time they can fix the issue, maybe a month or longer if the engine needs to be replaced. And they can't not provide me with a loaner because there is no one available. I contacted the Audi, and they also said they don't know how long will it take to fix the vehicle, which is ridiculous as no ones knows how long will it take to fix the issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11491026, filed 2022-10

“I had Recall 22V573 performed in November 2022 (see attached service record), and they found no evidence of metal in the engine. Approximately 1,000 miles later my car stopped working suddenly on the highway while driving 65 miles an hour with no warning, except 30 seconds before when some warnings flashed and back smoke started coming out the back. It was completely inoperable. This is extremely dangerous as someone could have run into me from behind. I had to push the vehicle off the highway, which is also extremely dangerous. …”

NHTSA complaint #11499087, filed 2022-12

“With just 800 miles on the vehicle after only having had it for 3 weeks after purchase, we were on the highway at 11pm at night and the engine started violently shaking to the point that the vehicle was undriveable; the emergency warnings on the dashboard came on, and the more we accelerated the more the vehicle shook. The longer we drove it to get to an emergency exit, the more it started shaking. Within about 30-60 seconds the car became completely undriveable. We were told conflicting things from the Audi service center and their technicians. …”

NHTSA complaint #11481014, filed 2022-08

After one month of use suddenly vehicle starting malfunction warning sign show on my dash.so iwent to dealership and they told me that the alternator is not working. so i gave them my vehicle to them for fix and it took 2 weeks to fix that problem. its frustrating for me because its new vehicle.
