“Every time it rains the technology sensors malfunction ex: the blind spot, lane change assist, intersection assist, Audi pre sense, and rear cross-traffic assist. Also the center console has blacked out of a few occasion when the vehicle was idle and moving. And overtime I have brought it in for repair and showed the video, they state the diagnostic does not pick up any errors and that the vehicle is performing properly despite the videos I have provided. The final result is always they have performed a software update!”

“2019 Q8 with 48 V battery problem which causes the Alternator failing. The car is in shop for a month, without any ETA on parts coming in. Audi knew this issue without any plan B. My shop told me there are cars with same issue sitting in the dealship shop waiting for parts since Oct 2022. Today is Feb 10 2023.”

NHTSA complaint #11506608, filed 2023-02

“My car is a 2019 Audi Q8 3.0L V6 with only 41,831 miles. My emergency light went on and I brought it my locat Audi Dealer. The inspection revealed that the coolant pump was leaking internally, contaminating the entire vacuum system with coolant. This is not a maintenance failure or the result of owner neglect. It is a well-documented, inherent design defect in the EA839 3.0T engine platform that powers the 2019 Q8, a defect that Audi of America has acknowledged through multiple Technical Service Bulletins. …”

NHTSA complaint #11736636, filed 2026-05

“2019 Audi Q8. The car is back in the Dealer Shop for almost 2 months. We don't really know what is wrong with the main issue on ALTERNATOR OR 48 V battery problems. And the excuse Service gave us is No ETA on the Parts From Germany. They have new cars coming in and they don't have parts coming in??. We are stuck in the middle, can't trade in or sell our cars. Right now this Q8 is a huge junk without any functional purpose. Some of the owners have been waiting for this fix for 3, 4 months. The government really should step in to find out what is going on on AUDI. It can't be parts shortage. …”

NHTSA complaint #11509071, filed 2023-02

“I have experienced multiple events in which the there is a central locking system malfunction which renders the fob, door lock button, and at times, the door handle nonfunctional and effectively traps occupants in the vehicle.”
