“Have replaced the ignition switch 3 times since january 1996. The switch has a position that controls the turn signals and windshield wipers. One of the failure modes I have experienced allows the car to start and run put disconnects the turn signals and wipers. I find this out in traffic when I need those elements. Audi will not acknowledge this problem, but I notice the latest switch seems to have been strengthened where it was breaking previously. I find it hard to believe that I'm the only Audi owner who has experienced failures with this switch.”
