“Reason for service call: no heat diagnosis by Audi dealer: internal short in A/C control head estimate of cost to replace the A/C control head- $900.00 I denied authorization for the $900.00 repair. When the car was returned to me, the climate control system would only deliver heat and at a very high temperature. There was no adjustment of temperature nor could the system be shut down. Even when the climate control system controls were set in an off position, heat continued to trickle through the vents. …”
NHTSA complaint #10071212, filed 2004-01, 20,893 miles“I have had intermittent window problems since I purchased the car. Window drivers were replaced on the drivers side at 3000 miles. The windows stopped working for short times ever since. They were inspected at 29,000 miles . The passenger side failed at 35,000 miles costing $374. I was notified the window guides were then noticed to be cracked and will need replacement. The driver side stopped working at 38,000 miles and will no longer come back. This seems to be a inherent problem with vw and Audi design.”
