“My passenger airbag sensor light for the seat keeps going on I've had this reset twice and it just keeps coming back on and now it does not go off . I was told there was a recall on this about 4 years ago it obviously wasn't fixed.. I was driving this last time when the light came on.”

NHTSA complaint #11129659, filed 2018-09, 150,000 miles

“Passenger seat belt sensor is fault causing my airbag sensor to go off which indicates that there is a failure in the passenger restraining system. One day the light was off - the next day the light was on. There was no accident. This occurred on my 2007 Bmw 328XI. There are similar recalls on 2009 bmws? Is there one for the 2007 model?”

NHTSA complaint #10280511, filed 2009-08, 36,200 miles

“For two years my seatbelt sensor pad in the passengers side has been broken. The cost is $1400. I took it to the dealer only for them to say they don't see a recall on my car. I looked it up here and the same result. I research recalls on the 3 series 328XI on the internet and I see a seat sensor pad recall on some cars. What I don't understand is if it's the same sensor pad and/or same malfunction. Why is it only a fraction of the models? Also it's unfair for you guys to make mistake with this information. …”

NHTSA complaint #10826129, filed 2016-02, 10 miles

“Passenger seat airbag sensor is on. There are other 2007 with the same symptoms but my Bmw dealership is telling me that my car wasn't part of the recall.”

NHTSA complaint #10583104, filed 2014-04, 13,500 miles

“Had many in warrantee visits and repairs involving the front passenger seat oc3 mat...replacing the mat had previously resolved the problem successfully, but the problem returns a year or so later.currently,as of 9-23-15,the issue is when the seat is exposed to the sun all day, the front passenger, while sitting in the seat is no longer protected by the air bag..,this is indicated by the passenger airbag off light in the overhead console being lit for the duration of the trip.this is a serious safety hazard... I have a video available showing this exact problem happening in my car. …”
