“The contact owns a 2001 Bmw 530IA. While driving 35 MPH, the passenger side air bag deployed without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 206,000.”
NHTSA complaint #10934778, filed 2016-12, 206,000 miles“On october 31, 2003 at 9:30pm, airbags(front, head - driver side/front, side, head - passenger side) deployed as driver was starting the engine of a parked car. The impact shattered the front windshield and driver received a concussion. Driver is currently suffering from headaches, ringing in the ear, sleep-disorder, sore/stiffness.”
