Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Twice this month while driving normally and at a moderate speed a message flashed on the monitor that the emergency braking system was engaged. The car slowed dramatically and suddenly. Without thinking I braked or pressed the accelerator. Luckily, the car returned to normal speed. When the braking system engaged unsecured objects were thrown around. If a car was behind me I could have easlily been rear ended.”

NHTSA complaint #11603566, filed 2024-07

“Vehicle brakes gave out while driving and would not stop. System generated an email of the incident from manufacturer. Dealership informed that they have seen this before and its is a simple fix with a brake booster but no recalls are currently recalling the vehicle. The warning appeared as it happened.”
