2017 BMW R1200 GS Adventure Technical Service Bulletins

165 technical service bulletins (TSBs) are on record for the 2017 BMW R1200 GS Adventure. TSBs are notes manufacturers send to dealers about repair procedures for issues seen in the field. They are not recalls and do not by themselves mean a vehicle has a fault.

• 10151430Aug 1, 2015Electrical system, Transmission and drivetrain. Shift assist does not function after performing SIB 23 001 15 (017) DME software upgrade. This is due to a progrm fault in ISTA/p version 3.56.0.
• 10147230Jul 1, 2015Latches, locks and linkages. Lock barrels fall out of case (do not lock). Part is incorrectly installed.
• 10147756Jun 1, 2015Exterior lighting. Mist forms in the headlight. This is due to condensation and goes away again.
• 10147754Jun 1, 2015Equipment, Exterior lighting, Electrical system. After activation of th ealarm system, the turn signals remain on for 1 minute. Previously they turned off automatically. Software malfunction.
• 10147168May 1, 2015Electrical system. BMW Motorrad has ascertained that in isolated cases the fuse for the voltage regulator is not correctly secured in the holder by the threaded fasteners. This can prevent the battery from being charged while the motorcycle is being ridden. If this happens the 'General' warning light shows red and the battery symbol appears in the multifunction display.
