“Takata recall-I was notified over a year ago feb 2016 of the takata airbag recall on my vehicle. I called monthly for a while and was told at one point they are changing the airbags in new dealer vehicles to be sold. I feel current vehicles already sold should be repaired first, not new ones to continue making a profit while we are at risk.”

NHTSA complaint #10980833, filed 2017-04, 20,000 miles

“Takata recall I received a notice my car is involved in air bag recall. But not at this time, meaning it will be recalled later? This endangers the driver of this vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11075365, filed 2018-02, 22,350 miles

“Takata recall. I got into an accident with my 2014 Bmw x1 in the winter of 2015, just a year after leasing this vehicle. A car hit me so hard from behind, that I hit the car in front of me, totaling my car completely. I was sent to the hospital because my airbags failed to deploy. This has caused me thousands of dollars in medical bill that my health insurance did not cover. If the airbags went off, I may not have hit my head and would have saved me from going to the hospital. This recall could have caused others with a more severe accident possible death. …”

“Takata recall- I realize that there are millions of cars impacted by the recall of the takata airbags, however, I also am stunned that it has been over a year and the same very dangerous airbags have not yet been replaced in my car by Bmw as of this date. Not a comforting feeling!! When I called about it, Bmw said that my car is not on a high priority list- please have them tell that to my family if I- my husband, or my children- should die in an accident because of the uncorrected airbag situation! Is there a way that your agency can help require faster replacements? Just wondering.......”

“Tamara recall - according to the recall lookup tool, the status is incomplete which indicates that parts are available. However, the dealership in mt. Laurel nj continues to say that they do not have the parts”
