Example complaints

Brakes: “I applied normal pressure to my brakes to slowly come to a stop and my brakes locked up and started jerking the car. I was told in October of 2023 by the dealership I purchased the car from that there was a recall and no fix. I just checked with them again today and there is still no fix. I am having problems with the braking system and can not get the car fixed.”

NHTSA complaint #11625126, filed 2024-11

Wheels: “Purchased 2024 XM in July 2024. Since then all 4 rims have cracked. Quote by BMW to replace $2500. If replaced I would have paid 10k in a year to replace wheels plus the 3k spent in May and June 2025 for a set of new tires. This week my PSI was zero. I could hear the air coming out. Took XM to a tire shop to find out nothing was wrong. The tire was fine and the previously repaired crack was fine. The shop added air and it held. Then the next day, I could hear air seeping from another tire. My husband drove it around the subdivision and came back home to add air. The seeping had stopped. …”
