“The collision warning system allows you to choose whether you want beeps or just seat vibration. I always chose beeps. But the vehicle randomly switches out of this and goes to seat vibration without me doing anything. This has happened numerous times, and the first time contributed to me, backing into another vehicle. I asked, my service department to check it and of course nothing showed up because it happens randomly. Just yesterday as I was pulling into my garage I was waiting for it to beep and nothing. …”
NHTSA complaint #11533232, filed 2023-07“Telematics module drained my battery mid drive. Car shut off on highway. Module malfunctioned and caused safety features to malfunction. After communication with Dealership, OnStar, ultimately GM refuses to issue a recall on the module. This is a NATIONWIDE issue with GM Telematics Module. Warranty will not cover the module on any of these vehicles. Someone is going to sustain serious bodily injury or maybe even die eventually if this issue isn’t resolved. Dealerships are telling drivers it is ok to drive like this. My car shut off on me twice. …”
