“Driver's mirror does not adjust adequately to view the blind spot to the driver's left rear. The passenger side mirror adjusts correctly. The driver's side travels about 1/2 less. I narrowly avoided colliding with another vehicle while changing lanes. The other drivers horn alerted me to the problem. Other Buick lucernes in the dealers showroom have the same problem .”

NHTSA complaint #10156309, filed 2006-04, 6,161 miles

“When I wash my windshield, the drivers side does not dispense fluid properly. The fluid pools on the lower left side of the windshield rather than in front of the driver. This requires operation much longer than normal. In an ice storm on february 14th I had to refill the system every 25 miles. The dealer has replaced the left wiper assembly. The same condition exists with the new assembly.”

NHTSA complaint #10184557, filed 2007-03, 14,000 miles

“When driving in the rain my Buick Lucerne's exterior driver-side rear view mirror is useless due to the wash of water streaming across the driver's side window. It is impossible to see traffic in the left lane and in order to change lanes I must rely on the interior rear view mirror. This loss of visibility occurs whether or not there is a wind condition, but it is most dangerous on the highway at highway speeds with windshield wipers pushing water toward the driver side window. I have had a couple of near misses during daylight driving conditions.”

NHTSA complaint #10295672, filed 2009-12, 40,000 miles

“Vehicle has numerous issues over the years. 80k miles currently, tires leak air because of corrosion on the rims, this is my 2nd set of tires not counting the set the vehicle came with, breaks have been done twice, rotors have been replaced, both front door handles have come off, problems with the leveler, now door locks lock/unlock while driving but not just once (might happen 6-8 times). Local dealer & service station have performed repairs/replacements. Already been under 2 recalls.”

NHTSA complaint #10896372, filed 2016-08, 80,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2006 Buick Lucerne. The contact stated that the windshield wiper fluid feature failed to work. The contact stated that the failure progressed without warning. The contact was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 10v240000 (electrical system). The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.”
