The result is that the car experiences increasing dragging, poor acceleration, and sudden stopping. The console brake light fails to illuminate in all instances and fails to inform the driver that the parking brake has engaged. When releasing the parking brake from a parked state, the parking brake pedal raises and indicates to the driver that that it fully been has disengaged. The parking brake light also turns off. …”
