“This vehicle has had thousands of complaints about ECM related problems. Every complaint is the same. The computer causes the temp gauge, fuel gauge to stop working, the tc light & antitheft lights to come on, and the key being stuck in the ignition. It renders the car undriveable because the temp & fuel gauges stop working. I have researched this and there has been the exact same issue with thousands of cars!!! When I contacted Cadillac about this they said I would have to pay hundreds of dollars for a diagnoses fee. …”
NHTSA complaint #11000207, filed 2017-06, 90,300 miles“Car was parked at work I was notified that it was leaking/pouring gasoline under car. Towed to dealership for repair. Dealership noted, gas leaking at top of tank, connector shorted at top of fuel module which burnt a hole and was leaking gasoline . It cannot be caused by a road impact as it occurs on the fuel module on the top of the gas tank. Entire tank has to be dropped off of car to replace the module. I investigated in the Cadillac owners forum and it was noted that this has occurred on other cadillacs and GM vehicles.caused by a short. …”
NHTSA complaint #10498409, filed 2013-02, 91,303 miles“I was at a stop sign when I tried to press down on the gas the car started tug and it would only do that on the first gear one mechanic said that it has to do with the fuel system and I kept testing the car out and I kept pressing on the gas to see if there was a difference but it kept doing the same thing as the first time”

The contact was driving 35 MPH when he noticed that the low fuel warning light was illuminated just before the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was unable to be diagnosed. The manufacturer was contacted and advised that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign id number: 06v020000 (fuel system, gasoline:delivery) and provided no further assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 74,000 and the current mileage was 91,000.”
NHTSA complaint #10459696, filed 2012-05, 74,000 miles“The contact owns a 2006 Cadillac CTS. Whenever the vehicle was driven at various speeds, the contact would hear a grinding noise. She took the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that the rear axles needed to be replaced. The mechanic only repaired the rear differential. The failure recurred and the vehicle was taken back to the mechanic. The dealer repaired the rear differential and the rear axles; however, the failure persisted. She returned to the dealer and was informed that the fuel filter and the module sensor center needed to be repaired. …”
