2006 Cadillac DTS Air bags Problems

“Today I had the GM recall 14299 performed on my Cadillac DTS at my local Cadillac dealership. The repair took about 1 hour and the car was returned to me with the instructions from the dealership that one key had a clamp on it and if I removed the clamp and the new key insert did not stay in place that they would need to figure something out . I waited an hour for the glue to dry and attempted to remove the clamp and the insert was adhered to the clamp as it appeared residual glue had stuck to the face of the insert and the underneath slide of the clamp. …”

We were hit on the driver side door by a 2003 1/2 ton extended cab chevrolet pickup truck at 35 to 40 miles per hr., the driver was drunk and being pursued. He went into the center of the intersection with stop signs on all sides and hit me as I was turning left. There were several cars at the intersection taking their turns. The accident was a hit and run dui. They did catch him later. The side air did not go off, also onstar did not go off. I had my cell phone in my pocket and called 911. …”

“Drivers side air bag didn't deploy in accident. Whole drivers side smashed in and person wouldn't have been injured as badly had it gone off like it was supposed to.”
